Cash

Having a little puppy around is so much fun for everyone in the house. We are all getting a little dog therapy from cash. He has teeth now and his ears are showing signs of sticking up. For Stella he is the best doll you could ever wish for-I won't be surprised if he winds up in a dress sometime soon. For Ethan he is a commrade who will soon be sharing a bed with and biting everyone with piggy tails...look out Stella. I am waiting for some good artwork from Kaya on the subject Cash. She just loves him and wants to love her back just the same. Zack is happy to have another male in the house... our 2 cats are girls, the tortoise is a girl, you get the idea. I am just happy to have another soul to care for. No really he is just so cute with all the people I love.

A Change of Scenery

I found out this week I will no longer be manager of the 3-6 year old ski programs. This came as a major blow. It is hard to lose a job that I love. Even worse I know I am doing a great job and the program is so successful! Because of a senority issue as well as the tumbling economy, I am now going to be a ski instructor (yeah, I know boo-hoo). After all the tears I am now taking a proactive approach by signing up for numerous clinics that will help make me a better teacher and skier, on top of this I am getting to ski a lot more which I am loving... I will be back doing what I love again someday, and in the meantime will be bettering myself, and doing whatever I can to make me a better manager for the future. Change is hard. I am trying to look at this as a new opportunity to further my career in the ski industry. Thankfully at this point I am on the twenty year career plan and could use the turbulance in my life!

Red Butte

We spent an entire day at the gardens this week. First on our agenda was to purchase our summer concert tickets, unfortunately the line was too long so we decided to explore first(don't worry we ended up with a great summer line-up: Neko Case, John Byrne, Death Cab for Cutie, Booker T and the Drive By Truckers) The weather was perfect. The garden was fabulously decorated as usual. We checked out the new Koi hatchlings in the pond at the childrens garden, Spent a good 45 minutes looking through microscopes at varios items :) in the sprout house, sketched in our nature journals, relaxed, snacked, and enjoyed.
