Solstice

The darkest time of the year is officially behind us. We also semi-celebrated Zack's 35th birthday. He had to work so only had time to come home and eat a quick dinner and get his gift from us. He loved his new snowboarding "outfit" but it was defenitely not a celebration worthy of how much we love him. He will get the rest of his gifts on Christmas. Stella told him to quit his job, because anywhere that makes you work on your b-day is not worth your time...
The Kids are completely immersed in the race season and have been going to way too many early morning training sessions(5 am wake up call) I truly believe that this season is our favorite and we are all so much happier when there is snow on the ground! Christmas is right on our heels, but pales in comparison to the fresh snow falling outside our windows. We will be having a wonderful, quiet holiday: visiting my Grandma on Xmas Eve, and hosting a Brunch on Christmas Morning. Come on over anytime after 9am! Santa is sure to deliver and the resident chefs will be hard at work. Happy Holidays- More updates after our crazy-busy week.

This was taken on our hike through the petrified forest. The kids are sitting on part of a tree that dinosaurs probably ate! What a great hike. Who know petrified wood was so beautiful?

A Change of Scenery

I found out this week I will no longer be manager of the 3-6 year old ski programs. This came as a major blow. It is hard to lose a job that I love. Even worse I know I am doing a great job and the program is so successful! Because of a senority issue as well as the tumbling economy, I am now going to be a ski instructor (yeah, I know boo-hoo). After all the tears I am now taking a proactive approach by signing up for numerous clinics that will help make me a better teacher and skier, on top of this I am getting to ski a lot more which I am loving... I will be back doing what I love again someday, and in the meantime will be bettering myself, and doing whatever I can to make me a better manager for the future. Change is hard. I am trying to look at this as a new opportunity to further my career in the ski industry. Thankfully at this point I am on the twenty year career plan and could use the turbulance in my life!@#$% Pictures, Images and Photos

We have needed this for a long time. Thanks Zack for responding to all my nagging and building this
